Good call with Flipside, just picked up a sixer and was very pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Sierra Nevada, despite how big they are and how long they've been around, continuously impresses the hell out of me.

Alesmith IPA doesn't seem to find itself into many conversations and I think I should.

After living in Western Mass for five years, I'm honestly surprised there isn't more of a following for Berkshire Brewing Co. and Lefty's on this site.

My guess maybe due to it's distribution (not sure what it is) as seen it mentioned on BA but not to level as other great IPAs. I drove through Ohio the last two years and picked up a four pack of Fat Head's Head Hunter each time, and not sure why I didn't buy more this year when I knew better

Mirror pond is a badass beer that no one ever mentions. I don't know why, but I love it and forget about it myself when the inevitable pale ale thread comes up

odell is amazing, if i could pick one brewery to distribute to NY that currently does not, it would be them.

Man, Odell does not really lack for the good love, because they are SO good at what they do, but I find them under-represented in some commentary that I see, due to the fact that in my personal opinion they go yard on almost everything they try to do.

Despite the fact that they do get some recognition for how well they brew beer, I do feel that their level of mastery is not fully appreciated by the community at large.

They are rally, really good. I want to represent for Minnesota brewers over Colorado outfits, neverminding the fact that I love Colorado, but there's just no outfits in America as good at making what we like as Odell is, and while they do get a measure of the good love from folks of our ilk, I don't feel that they get the amount they're entitled to.

For BBA Imp Stouts, I believe Midnight Sun's Berserker doesn't get as much praise as it should.

As if the BA community needed another India Pale Ale to celebrate, I present the underrated, for the moment at least, Pizza Port Swami's IPA out of San Diego California. When I first heard of this brew it was when someone commented that it was the west coast Heady Topper. I thought that was a bold statement, considering the hype and following of that beer. Swami lived up to that statement, at least for my personal single IPA taste. Cheers!

people on this site are in love with BA beers and DIPAs, so tons of european brews go under the radar. give me a de la senne taras boulba over pretty much any beer on the planet and i'll be happy...and of course, orval. lots of cool euro breweries doing very radical beers, but nobody (here) cares.

I've recently gotten turned onto brown ale's. New Castle was my first many years ago, and thought it was crap. Avoided them until lately one or two slipped into my fridge. Now I can't get enough...

I have really enjoyed everything I've tried from Alesmith. They're really fantastic. Despite that I rarely buy their offering more than a time or two because of their expensive bomber only format. If they offered 6 packs or 4 packs at reasonable prices they'd be in my regular rotation.

Gotta respectfully disagree with this one. If you're referring to the LH Nitro Milk Stout - that beer isn't under-discussed in the slightest, nor is it really underrated/under-appreciated. Look at any of the 3-4 threads in Beer Talk just from this weekend alone seeking advice for new stouts or specifically milk stouts worth trying. Left Hand Nitro always is mentioned within the first half-dozen posts each time and then subsequently garners more than 10-15 additional name-drops per thread. I'd say next to Young's Double Chocolate Stout, Sam Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout and 3F Moloko, LH Milk Stout Nitro is one of the most commonly discussed of the milk/sweet stout style.

Maybe argue that milk/sweet stouts, as an entire style, are under-discussed or under-appreciated. But again, you can always find a couple of active threads on that subject going on just about any given week...

Founders Sweet Repute. Absolutely loved it, and the reviews indicate others do as well, but it is basically never discussed. I figure that has to do with it being a somewhat obscure style (Wheatwine).

Also, CW 16. I think it's as good or better than any straight-up BA stout I've had but it isn't mentioned often.

Faro is under talked about. lol. the trends come and go. all one has to do is look to the beer "types" that either never sell here or rarely sale here.

Just had a Bell's Best Brown and was really surprised by how good it was. Never see much chatter on it but I think its one of the best for the style. Really good stuff.
