Going with Rinn Duin here. People I drink with claim to want a place making solid versions of more classic styles, these guys do that and I never see them come up. While on that subject Carton's other session beer. Milk may have more going on complexity wise than Boat but because it isn't hoppy it goes unmentioned.

Susquehanna Beer Company's Southern Rye IPA. Generally an overlooked brewery in the Pennsylvanian craft beer market, the Southern Rye IPA is balanced while still allowing the brightness of the hops to shine through the rye.

Mikkeller's Spontanframboos showed up at my store the other day. Despite the good but not great rating, I thought it was pretty damn close to Atrial, especially for a shelf beer.

I was actually disappointed with this beer. Its not that its not good but compared to the new stuff Otter Creek has been putting out it just doesn't cut it for me. But tis true they all of a sudden have been making some amazing beers.

Took the words right outta my keyboard...I'll second the Avery Ellie's Brown. If ever I described a beer as 'Comfort Food', it would be Ellie's.

Stone RIS-It has become my favorite ris, over raspy, narwhal, ten fidy and even barrel aged ris's. Creamy head, perfect sweetness, subdued hops, great grain bill, never dry, ages great, and $8 for a bomber. i have found that it hold its carbonation better than most if corked

Bootlegger's Knuckle Sandwich. I would take it over most of the highest rated IPAs any day.

Everytime Sixpoint posts something on BA it makes me happy inside...That said I'd throw in Bengali (love the 12 oz cans) and Resin into this discussion as well. I think Hi-Res was pretty well discussed, but darn was that good too...I hope Hi-Res is coming back soon...

Yeah, I had to persuade several people to try this. They thought all Guinness sucked. Foreign Extra is on TW shelves down here VA in 4 packs for about $9. Great no frills stout, great deal.

Can I half-like this? Totally agree brown ales have a potential beyond the offerings that few breweries are capitaluzing on... But not a fan of ESBs, without disagreeing they are underrated.
