Underrated Summer Beers

    I love Anchor's Summer Wheat beer; especially now that it's in cans. It's crisp, clean, flavorful, and refreshing; yet is holds a relatively low score on BA. Just my personal taste, but it got me wondering about what everyone's favorite (and possibly underrated) summer go-to's are?

    Loose leaf from odell is my fishing beer. Great taste and you can drive home

    Totally agree on Anchor summer wheat (yellow cans = awesomeness). I just sent some along to my vacationing family, telling them it was the perfect beach beer.
    My summer favorites have ranged a bunch over the years, and we all know that ratings here are biased against low-ABV and/or simple-tasting beers. Some of my favorites, which remain perfect for summer, but will never be rated highly:
    LongTrail Altbier Ale
    Anchor Steam
    So.Tier PMX and Pale (disc.)
    FullSail Amber
    Troegs Sunshine Pils
    Bells LagerO'theLakes

    Yuengling Summer Wheat and Lancaster Kolsch. Both are solid summer offerings and easy on the wallet.

    Sixpoint Jammer 2.0 (best by December 2015) is an excellent summer beer; it is a Gose.

    I thought Summer Ale was a great beer, although the lemon taste seemed a little too artificial for my liking. Despite that, I think it deserves more than a 77!

    Brooklyn's summer ale is excellent. Hard to get except locally but Crickethill's Jersey summer ale is another fine brew

    Summit Summer Ale, and Deschutes Twilight are my Summer jams. Full Sale Session sees a lot of fridge time in the warmer months as well.

    My wife loves Snapshot. Another nice summer beer is Heavy Seas Smooth Sail. I wasn't expecting to like it very much but it's really tasty. Bonus points since my wife really likes it too! Picked up another six-pack tonight.
