Just got back from a week at the beach in Rhode Island and we had the cooler loaded up with a lot of ones mentioned:

It was nice to have good variety and it was a fun shopping trip! Oh and don't worry we had some other "nightcappers" for later in the day/night....

 

Happy to see Deschutes Twilight Summer Ale get some love. I love that beer.

 

Schells Hefeweizen. In my opinion, it's the only other Hefeweizen that gives Weihenstephaner a run for its money. My favorite summer seasonal with a bullet.

 

Been loving me all kinds of Goses this year, but most recently I tried Neshaminy Creek Trauger Pils. Wow, what a hoppy excellent pils that rivals the best.

 

In the underrated department:

Siren Craft - Calypso

I might have to try Yuenling Summer Wheat

 

Really enjoying some Deschutes Twilight Ale as I type. It's got this really pleasing finish, sort of a light maltiness tinged with sweetness. Subtle but satisfying.

Summerfest, of course, is a given as well.

 

Never tried that one.

 

Shiner White Wing - It's actually year round, but it's a great summer beer.

Underrated summer beers? Imperial stouts and barleywines

 

Troegs SP and Bell's Lager of the Lakes are under appreciated. Sunshine Pils put a huge dent in my Summerfest purchases and every time I crossed over into NY I picked up Lager of the Lakes and Oberon. Brooklyn Summer ale is under rated along with the Sierra Nevada IPA pack.
Aside from Gose, I think the styles associated with summer beers are a bit under rated in general.

 

My favorite summer beer is New Glarus Dancing Man, but they aren't making it this summer. Hope they make it again soon!

 

Florida Cracker is my go-to beach/summer beer

 

I know I should say Alpha King, but a fresh half barrel of Robert the Bruce, after sunset, put me to sleep.

 

Boulevard wheat with a lemon. Might be the most refreshing beer I've had on a hot day. Really sucks this beer seems to have pulled out of any part of Virginia I frequent.

 

I'd have to say my summer "go to's" are Sam's Porch Rocker or Leinie's Canoe Paddler. If I'm going for a lager, Kona's Longboard is my favorite.

 

Yuengling Summer Wheat another vote for Pottsville...
I'd also add Brooklyn Summer Ale, Columbus Brewing's Summer Teeth & Great Lakes' missing in action Wright Pils.

 

Firestone Walker Pivo Pilsner. Grapefruit Sculpin is on my list too.
