IF anyone is on the NW Side and willing to brave the Zombie Apocalypse and celebrate Saint Patrick's Day Weekend, the long anticipated opening of Une Annee / Hubbard's Cave at their new location is today at noon. Great sours and stouts, the move is much closer to my house and permits a nice two for opportunity with Alarmist. Link - The Legend of Festivus We are happy to announce that we will be opening our new brewery and kitchen at 6343 W Gross point rd at 12:00 tomorrow. For the first few weeks (our soft opening) we will have a limited menu as we are still working on adding more items in the weeks to come. Our Grand Opening day will be announced shortly. With this, TONIGHT FRIDAY MARCH 13, will be the final day at 9082 W Golf rd. The Golf rd taproom was an amazing steppingstone to this larger nicer brewery and we and many of our fans will miss it. Will it go away forever, not sure. In addition to this change, we will be closed on Sunday, March 15 for a member gathering at Gross Point and we will not be open at Golf rd (please come by Saturday if you need beer for the rest of the weekend). . We apologize for any inconvenience for this short notice on the moving of the taproom. . March 13th – final day at Golf rd 2-10 March 14th – open at Gross Point 12-10 March 15th – closed for private member party March 16th – open at Gross Point 2-10
The only airing of grievances today are these great pours. Very nice space. $2 off three 6 oz pours works here as well. The BBQ looks and smells real good. Iggy Pop playing. Cheers!
Good to know they serve food. Looking forward to checking it out now that it’s a good bit closer to me.
Per their website, the will be offering both food and packaged cans and bottles to go from their location, and are working out the logistics to make this work. The open was delayed substantially while they successfully jumped through all the zoning and “surprise” reversals over the past few years. It’s gotta be heartbreaking to go through all of that effort, and on the first weekend of soft open realize you must shut the whole thing down again for a undetermined length of time. Will definitely stop by here, The Garage Bar & Sandwiches and other local small businesses trying to navigate through this during their dine-in / drink-in closures, they can until we return to some normalcy, hopefully sometime in the Summer. Craft Bottle Shops deserve love as well, so hopefully Beer in the Wall, The Beer Temple and other area stores can continue to be open and serve their grateful customers.
both Beer Cellar locations are open with slightly reduced hours -- draft sales are halted, but to-go is still on, and they've opened up an online store to buy beer online, with an option for curbside pickup or delivery within a certain radius
Stopped by yesterday to pick up the Cuvee V1. The space looks awesome and I'm excited to go back for some pours and food. Couldn't have gone any smoother for pickup. They had the bottles in bags ready to go.
If you like pastry stouts, the French Toast is amazing. Sweet cinnamon sugar vibe going on, with an almost cream cheese whipped topping finish. Fantastic.
