I use the calculators at brewersfriend.com, and I'm not sure of something that just happened to me.

7 days ago, my dad and I brewed our 5th batch of beer. It's a cream ale OG: 1.05

Just now, I took a reading of 1.006 @ 61 degrees F - I entered this into the calculator to adjust to 68 degrees and it came out the same. How can I be 7 solid degrees away from my adjustment temp and not see a change in the SG?

Probably rounding. The conversion formula has a bunch of constants that go out to many decimal places. If the calculator truncated/rounded some/all of those constants, it would give a slightly different answer. FWIW, BrewCipher gives 1.005 for your input.

Because 7 degrees temperature difference isnt that big of a difference when it comes to hydrometer readings

I also think you are looking for FG, not SG.

An FG is just a stabilized SG...the SG may still change before it becomes an FG, and being 7 days in, the SG could still drop. Just sayin'

yeah, I anticipate it will continue to change a bit.

I'm operating off vague recollections here but I feel like I've input numbers with less than a 7 degree difference and seen a greater change in adjusted gravity. I could be wrong.
