Love them or hate this is a pretty big deal if only for this province:

Unfiltered Brewing (Halifax, NS) is suing the NSLC for unconstitutional tax levy ( $0.50/liter) on products sold out of the brewery.
That means for anyone not familiar with Unfiltered is they pay ($0.50/liter of beer sold much like every brewery in the province to the NSLC) yet they do not deal with the NSLC at all ( kegs and growlers only sold from the brewery) no cans and no bottles no store presence.

This goes to court September 6th 2016.

This could be a landmark case for all the province's producers that have to deal with the NSLC.

    Breweries pay $0.50/liter
    Wineries/Distilleries pay $0.20/liter

In the vein of misery loves company, it's nice to know that Ontario isn't the only province with crazy-ass laws regulating beer/alcohol sales :flushed:.
