Do any Montrealers know if there is a place where this beer can be picked up? I have never actually seen a bottle of it anywhere. I would really like to try it though, it sounds like an interesting blend!

It's absurd how much more accessible Unibroue beers are in the US vs. Canada... Actually, it's more than absurb, it's maddening!

About a year or two ago, they were available exclusively at Fourquet Fourchette (Montreal & Chambly). Don't know if there's any left but it's worth a shot.

I know they make a Winter release every year for Trader Joes in Calif. and it is around 6 dollars a bottle...A corked and caged bottle too !!! We dont get that here and that roasts my backside too !!
When I lived in Texas I could buy Niagara Falls Brewing beers there and they were NEVER available in NY ...
    Makes NO sense to me

If you goto the "our story" on the Unibroue website it says, "In 2004 the Sleeman Brewery became interested in the Quebec company’s ultra-modern facilities and highly qualified labor force. After purchasing Unibroue, Sleeman renamed itself Sleeman Unibroue Inc. The merger gave the brewery a powerful presence right across Canada. Today iconic Quebec beers like Blanche de Chambly, La Maudite, and La Fin du Monde are readily available right across Canada."

This will explain why this beer can get into the American market no problem. Living in a boarder town in SW Ont., I buy probably 80% of my beer in Michigan and always see great Quebec selections including Unibroue. Sad, because the LCBO in my city does not carry it often, and the Beer Store somtimes has Maudite.
