2 N.A. breweries that specailize in Belgian style beers. But there can only be one winner.

The canadian in me wants to say Uni but i find there beers while tasty lack the carbonation kick of Belgians. Omm does a better job of this so ill vote Omm.

I know many other NA brewerys make belgian style. North Coast for example. I just went for the big 2. If you perfer others write in votes are welcome.

Ommegang is ok, but la fin de mon is the best NA triple I had.

Wow, what a great topic for discussion! This is one tough call as both breweries are fantastic and both produce beers strictly in the Belgian tradition.

Personally, I have to give the edge to Ommegang simply because of their Abbey Ale and Three Phils (I'm a big fan of dark, fruity, strong Belgian-style ales). I must say though, that if I liked Triples better than Dubbles and Quads, I would certainly favor Unibroue.

Really tough call - why would you ask this of us!?
On the one hand, Unibroue has for me, the perfect 4-pack of Belgian-style beers that are all great examples of their respective styles: Maudite, La Fin du Monde, Trois Pistoles, and Don de Dieu; BUT Ommegang seems to have more range, their Hennepin and Three Philosophers are widely acclaimed (and I really liked their recent Biere D'Hougoumont)... in the end I went with Ommegang for one reason: Gnomegang.

Can't we all just be friends?

No? Ok I'll choose Ommegang just to keep things close

I'm in Canada - I love both, I really don't think one is better than the other. Unibroue does seem to (overall) have more intense flavours, but then their ABV's tend (on average) to be higher I think too...

Ommegang is a fantastic brewery, but Unibroue is THE brewery. If you can't find a beer you love within their stable, you just don't like beer.

I am actually surprised that Unibroue isn't running away with this.

Unibroue makes some phenomenal beers including one of my personal favorite beers in Trois Pistoles. So I vote for them.

Three Philosophers pushed my vote over the teeter-totter to Ommegang.

Ommegang in a close one, with Hennepin putting them over the top.

Unibroue is the winner for me, While I love Three Philosiphers as a cheap and easy to get quad... Hennepin is good but I prefer a couple of local Saisons more. That being said I love all 4 of the big offering from Unibroue, La Fin Du Monde was one of the first "big" beers I had after things like Spotted Cow and Don De Dieu is my favorite belgian strong pale even over Duvel so that is where I stand. I know you all care about my opinion and now you know it!

Unibroue easy, I've not been impressed with the beers I had from Ommegang. And I think Three Philosophers is overrated.

I voted for Unibroue, mainly for their remarkable consistency - I've never had a beer from them that was less then good, if not great.

I love Ommegang, too, though, and it wasn't an easy choice.
