I just wanted, after splitting a few Union Jacks with my better half, to start a thread that lauds this amazing brew. The aroma is unprecedently citrusy and piney, and the taste is exquisite. Nothing beats this beer fresh, IMO.

Does Union Jack rank in anyone else's top IPAs/DIPAs? If not, what are some your favorites?

Union Jack is fine, but I like Double Jack more. It's a very nice DIPA I can find anywhere by my house at a decent price.

I agree that Double Jack is amazing, but there's just something about its single counterpart that I love.

Union Jack, Double Jack, and Taproom IPA are all excellent. Had those in Paso recently. Pivo Pils was my go to, though.

Union Jack is a great IPA, which makes it weird how Double Jack is so similar yet a sweet, syrupy, boozy mess at the same time.

It's a great example of a West Coast IPA and it's in my regular rotation with Odell, Two Hearted, and Sculpin, though I buy the first three a little more due to the price difference.

Great beer and a great price. It often sits around a lot here, so the six packs tend to be older and not as good. When it's on tap and fresh, it's really excellent.

I wish I could get this fresh on a consistent basis. Sessionable as hell to be sure. A "Must Buy" for me when I find it fresh. I actually like it better Double Jack. Union Jack is a Gold/Platinum winner. I merely give Double a silver...

It used to be one of the beers in the FW mixed cases sold in Costco. I was beyond sad when it was replaced with 805.

Fantastic and solid brew. Also hard to find fresh around here, but if you look hard enough, it's awesome.

Live about two hours from Paso. It's fresh, plentiful and fairly cheap. CVS had a deal on it last month for 7.99 a sixer. Picked up one because of the steep discount and glad I did. One of the first IPA's I really loved when I moved to CA. Got away from it trying all the others fine brews in the Golden State. Glad I revisited it. Don't plan on leaving it again anytime soon.

Never had any luck with those Costco mixed cases. All the ones I purchased were 5+ months old. Union Jack really suffered for it.

Union Jack is most likely my favorite IPA. Always easy to find incredibly fresh in Boston, and Firestone Walker's quality is always top notch.

Had it for the first time in Chicago this summer. Was damn good. Of my three favorite IPAs, I can only get Two Hearted in NC (the other being Odell, my #1).

Big fan of Union Jack. Scored a case of fresh Jacks for $40 a few weeks ago. Made my day.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who thought this, obviously not. I love, LOVE Union Jack, but Double Jack to me is just too sweet and too boozy even for a DIPA.

I agree, Union Jack is an awesome beer that leaves you wanting more after each one. Double Jack is outstanding as well, but becomes too much after a couple.

I enjoy Union Jack but I am rapidly growing fond of the Wookey Jack. Anybody try that one?
