If they threw out some amazing sours to boot, I would look at them as the only brewery on the planet option.

Union Jack is one of my favorite IPAs. Double Jack is my favorite double right now.

They do have some super-secret pilot batch sours, but I don't think they have any intention of taking them to retail at the moment.

Daydreams of driving down the 246 from Lompoc to Buellton every Saturday to fill his growlers of Union Jack @ The Taproom. I miss those days...

It is my #1 favorite hoppy beer. Well-balanced and assertive without being hop juice.

    So what's your go-to IPA?

You need to swing by the FW Barrelworks in Buellton some time... they have all kinds of stuff that's not released anywhere else, mainly sours.

It's a good beer for sure.

I can't speak for Peekskill, but I find Enjoy By to be... unenjoyable. Too much of the onion and cat piss in the aroma and the flavor is... well, I find it unbalanced towards bitterness. But, to each his/her own! :-)

Headhunter, as mentioned elsewhere in the thread, is also very nice; I was lucky enough to try it at the brewpub and it was great.

I really like Two Hearted when it's fresh, too.

Union Jack is one of my favorites. I was really disappointed after trying the Double Jack, because I almost always prefer DIPAs to IPAs, but for this one, it wasn't the case.

The only issue is that the stores I frequent have occasionally had Union Jack that was over 6 months old, so freshness is a huge issue.

This is exactly how I feel. I much prefer Union Jack over Double Jack.

Dude what is a matter with you? Double Jack is one of the greatest DIPAS on earth. You are obviously not an IPA fan if call that a mess. One of the greats, but to each its own man. You need to change your words before going after a top 100 my friend .

Okay, if you want me to change my words, here goes: Double Jack is a sickly sweet, syrupy, boozy mess. Better?

I love Union Jack and for the price (typically 9.99) it has knocked Sculpin off the "#1 IPA sixer" spot for me (Sculpin is freaking 14.99!)

The best part is my Ralph's grocery store routinely has bottles that are only 10 days old!

Union Jack is awesome as is Double Jack. Two of the finer beers on this planet! Look at the raitings and see for yourself.

Just proves that you aren't respectful of this website and you have a weak ass palate. Tell us what is an excellent Double/Imperial IPA if Double Jack isn't.

    Let's see...

    - Ruination
    - Enjoy By
    - RuinTen
    - Sucks
    - Hop Stoopid
    - Hoptimum
    - Flying Dog The Truth
    - Evolution Lot 6

Just proves that you aren't respectful of other beer drinker's opinions. Get over it.

My problem isn't that do don't like it, but the lack of respect for the awesome brewers who brew this jem. You don't like something fine, but don't bash the beer, just state you aren't a fan. Side note you enjoy many of my favorites, but very surprised you like Hoptimum, because that beer is much more syrupy to me than Double Jack and I really enjoy both. Wasn't trying to start a verbal battle, but you were trash talking one of my favorites, don't bash my kids or my favorite beers.
