    The nipple in that pic looks like metal, but the areola looks like rubber.

    No, I was talking about the "tit" inside the liquid line fitting (not the keg itself)

    Yeah.. I was fine if they were loose, I could fix it as long as it wasn't torn off..

    None of mine were loose. One has a dent at the edge of the keg/boot and is pulled from the keg, but I can't pull the bottom off, so who knows.. Great deal for what I paid.

    that makes more sense, but I can't imagine that breaking off. I hope that you just had bad luck with yours, but now I am going to look closer at mine.

    The seal/gasket/areola is a rubber-like material. I think the regular poppets are the same type material. Now I need to look at my "normal" poppets.
