Upcoming Luxembourg Trip

    Howdy from Texas,

    I am embarking on a short trip into Luxembourg on the April 19th. The last time I was there the beer scene was not much to look at, but it was still a fun trip.

    However I raised this question previously; are there any new bottle shops in Lux, or close across the border in Belgium, or Germany I can get to by car? I would really like to bring back a few tasty souvenirs to my beer group here in Houston if possible.

    Help a fellow beer lover out on this trip if you can!!!

    Yes, there are a couple new bottle shops and bars worth a visit now in Lux for craft beer.

    The shops: Artisan'ale (in the Clausen area), Hoppyliciotus (Out of town in Capellen), MiOrge MiHoublon (Arlon,BE), and The Hop Shop (Trier, DE)

    Bars with the best craft options: Brasserie Um Tennis, Liquid, Craft Corner, Crossfire, Cafe Belair, and Roccas.

    If you are into cider try to get out and visit Ramborn Cider out along the Mosel river.

    There are many beer geeks here in Lux now so the scene is growing nicely. If you want to meet up for a beer or have something you are looking for specifically to bring home let me know. (2 of my beer friends here are Texas guys)

    Be careful of the hours that The Hop Shop in Trier is open. I spent a few days in Trier last spring, and couldn't ever actually make it in the place. I believe they're only open towards the end of the week (Wednesday-Saturday or something), and the hours may be somewhat limited when they do open.

    You're awesome, Adam! I would love to meet for a beer and get to know more of the craft joints in Lux. What day would work better for your Friday 4/20 or Saturday 4/21? What beer styles are you into, and where are you Texas buddies from?

    Very true. Most the shops in the area hold odd hours. MiOrge and Hoppylicious close briefly for lunch each day that they are open. Only recently have some shops started being open 5 days a week with decent hours.

    @BeerHunter76 Friday is the better of those two days for me. Would gladly do a little bar hopping/beer drinking. I am into all beer styles but over here we miss really fresh American IPAs. We are spoiled with lambics and saisons but only recently have great IPAs started showing up from 'local' breweries. My buddies both lived in the Dallas area. Will PM you my #

    I will have to keep you updated on Friday. I am coming in on a Cargolux flight and sadly they are not known for their timeliness. Hopefully, we will get in toward the morning so I can enjoy the day and night for a bar hopping and beer. My brewery makes a great IPA, and I know some locals brews that are right on point for you.
