I know about the Extreme Fest, but what else is out there in the six states for those willing to travel?
The RI beer fest is coming up on January 30th. I think it's going to be about 40 breweries, all 13 from Ri with some regional ones like two roads, jacks Abby, otter creek, Lord Hobo and Beerd. Obviously there will be some big guys there too. http://www.ribrewfest.com
I went to the RI Brew Fest last year and had a pretty great time. There was one random booth quietly doing pours of 2013 BCBBW and they became my best friend. Other than that I went to Brew at the Zoo at the Roger Williams Zoo, my wife (our DD) loved this since she had more to look at and do but I found it to be a bit lack luster. The set up was such that just about everything was normal offerings. Nothing all that special. I also went to the Mohegan Sun brew fest this year. If it wasn't 15 minutes down the road from me I might have skipped it. Decent. If I go again I will go to an early session. It was way too packed the 2nd session. I kick myself for having never been to Beervana Fest. I sincerely hope to go next year.

Real Ale Fest in New Haven, CT is always fun if you like cask conditioned beers. Be prepared to spend about $60 though. https://tickets.beerfests.com/event/4067101
