It'll be interesting to see which "version" of Whirlpool they can - the bolder one they did or this last more sessionable 3.7% version. IMO I hope it's the former not the latter ....

Anyone else in the Night Shift Barrel Society get the message, after ordering extra Quasar bottles online that, oops, we don't have enough for you? Not particularly perturbed, but more cracks in the expansion joints.

I am going to be in Boston for work starting Wednesday afternoon and wanted to head up to Night Shift for the new Art release. How do these normally work, are they a bit more laid back or do people line up/pack-in before the sales start?

I believe this is only the second bottle release (following that red wine barrel-aged imperial stout) at the new facility?

You could probably show up at 4:30, grab some pours and be okay.

Then again, not sure of the yield on this one. The imperial stout went fast, under an hour... but it was also their opening party.

Thanks for the info! If you're getting some pours waiting for 5:00, how do they sell the bottles then? First come first serve for those who ask at the bar? Or is there a separate bottle line?

It will be the "bolder" former version. A crushable session pale at 4.2-4.3%.

As noted this is only our second bottle release at the new location. So still determining what works best. We will most likely do first come first served at the bar but if its super packed we will organize a line. Just a note If the taproom is at max capacity there will is enough bottles for sale that everyone inside can grab some which is why we think a line isn't necessary

A small amount of Whirlpool cans will hit distro.

Art 28 in 375ml bottles now? What gives with the new size? Grown accustomed to 750ml all day every day from NS! You using these for BS releases? Starting to worry here....

Are you guys anticipating selling out of the Art #28 today? I'll be rolling through the area Saturday afternoon. Would love to stop by, check out the taproom and pick up some bottles of it! Sounds exquisite!

The label on the NS website for Quasar says 750 ml (http://www.nightshiftbrewing.com/beers/barrel-society/2014-night-shift-barrel-society/quasar/) so I'd think we're good in that regard. They did a 375 for the Funk'd Citra release (awesome beer that) so it's not without precedent on special releases but I'd be surprised if they switch things up on Barrel Society members. Not too worried here.
