Sooooo I left the beers on to carb up a bit more and just hang out in the corny's and, like a couple of you suggested, they got a bit better. The belgian blonde is still virtually undrinkable but my baltic porter I was really excited about ended up coming out pretty good and while this isn't the best version of the hoppy red, it's still drinkable (at least).

I have always had issues with belgian beers and sounds like my process needs refining to work with this yeast. Anyway, thanks for all the support and the advice.

Cool. Went back and read through your "worst" thread. Glad to hear you didn't dump any of the beer.

Thanks for following up on the advice you received. Too many folks (myself included) are guilty of not reporting back results to fellow BA's who offered advice.

Now, if only we might hear something from the dude with the Purple-Colored IPA's...

I must have missed that one. Or maybe it just wasn't that memorable? :astonished:

If I wanted a purple IPA, I'd just dump a pack of dried elderberries in the wort at 20 minutes. The slight fruity tang would go pretty good with some fruity or citrusy hops. I think I'll try it... :grimacing:

    It was this thread...

Scroll down in the OP and see where he talks about purple colored dregs. Check out the link too. Some weird stuff. Some BA's offered to taste samples of his beer to see if they could identify the issue...not sure if OP took them up on their offers.
