Other than what I'm doing right now (starting a thread to suggest updates), is there a preferred method of submitting updates for locations and name variants grouped under a Beer Guide listing?

Using my home location of Kansas City as an example, there are several municipalities in the Missouri portion of the metro with breweries/beer bars that should in the guide (and the Kansas portion of the metro is missing from the guide entirely); likewise, the KC guide currently lists a homebrew shop 340 miles away due to the city it's in - Jackson - being included as a name variation for Jackson Country, MO.

Probably a tough issue to address. I just checked the Cincinnati guide, and its missing several of the best spots around due to their not technically being in Cincinnati Proper, but in suburbs like Loveland or literally 150 feet from the opposite side of the Ohio River in Bellevue, KY.

If the guides are auto-assembled when a given city / area gets enough entries, I don't know how you get around that without some fun geofencing / radius stuff using a Google Maps API or similar.

If they're curated by trusted locals, it'd be easier to keep updated, if a bit more subjective in content.

(This)Thread is probably the easiest way to do this. I'll talk with @Todd about this and see what its possible to do on the back end.
