I'd like to try a bottle or two of Upland's Lambics, really don't care much which flavor though, having just read a great interview by them (http://embracethefunk.com/2012/10/19/caleb-staton-of-upland-brewing-company-qa/). What's the deal on these, are they hard to come by or on the shelves out in Indiana? Would something like a Dissident or a Cascade get this done or do I have to go digging in the cellar?
probably gonna have to dig into the cellar unles the cascade you refer to was brewery only cause the uplands are 1 or two bottle brewery only i think
Weren't there only 200 bottles each of the raspberry and blackberry for the last release? Maybe I'm off but I'm pretty sure it was really low.
48 bottles of Sour Reserve blend #2 released at the brewpub and 36 at the Indy tasting room 2 weeks ago. Not too sure about reservations system for this one, but for those who did manage to get their hands on a bottle had the opportunity to get on the reservation list for the next lambic. They mentioned sometime next year. Tasty stuff though, snagged two bottles
I wouldn't try and track down anything except Blackberry/Raspberry (released earlier in the year) or Sour Reserve. The fruit falls off after a while and while still good, they're best relatively fresh.
Peach was last released last summer I think. Blueberry was several batches again (2010 maybe?) and will probably be the hardest to find. If you don't care about a specific flavor, as others have mentioned, Blackberry and Raspberry will be the easiest to get.
Also remember that at least half the bottle will gush out so you are really only trading for a 375ml bottle.
