I'm looking for any information on trading for Sour Reserve not found on the page:
    http://uplandbeer.com/sourreserve/

    Bottle count for each batch?
What kind of things each batch has traded for?
Is one harder to get (or tastier right now) than the other?

I'm just trying to determine which to try to obtain, I realize that preference will vary, but a comparison from someone who has tried both would be helpful.
    Thanks

Not sure on the bottle count, but I traded an Armand'4 Winter for a batch 2 bottle. When I opened it, it was good, but the acetic acid character was too strong (at least in my bottle). Definitely shows potential for Upland's blending program. If I were you, I'd wait until batch 3, but I'm not sure when that will be.

Sounds about right from what I've heard. Missed out on the lotto for b2. Recently got one as a part of trade for Armands and am sending to a regular trading partner who struck out trying to get one for an asking price of anything less than Blaebaer.

I've had both batches a few times. I preferred batch 1 although when I had it 6 months after release it was better than fresh, so I'm hoping batch 2 will show similar improvement with some age. I still love it, but just not as much as batch 1.

Mongo, wasn't I just talking to you about this? Or was it aasher? We had like an exact bottle count number for b2 figured out, cause whichever of you assholes I was talking to had spoken with the Upland Rep, Carrie I believe? It was an odd number, like 337 or something, but for sure in the 300's.

    Wasn't b1 just a barrel full?

Thanks for the info, perhaps I will try to wait for later batches. I was more interested in the Blend 1 because of the multi-year blending, but I certainly don't have any Blabaer to go after it with. I'll be on the lookout down the line for online reservations.

Still, if anyone has completed trades, I'd love to hear it. Sounds like 1:1 with Armand'4 is about right for a b2?

I traded my batch 1 for a Matt and AftW a couple of months after it came out. Both parties were happy I think.

Might as well throw this other info for future searchers:

Nov 2011 - Picked up lottery winner Blend #1 bottles.
May 2012 - Sour/Wild/Funk Fest includes raffle for Blend #2 bottles.
Jun 2012 - Picked up lottery winner Blend #2 bottles.
    Oct 2012 - Extra mini-release for Blend #2 bottles.

Pretty sure the Blend #2 was the GABF gold winner.

As far as trade value right now, I dunno. I was picking up b1 bottles for relatively little early on in 2012 (Pannapot horizontal, some of the less-interesting FFF BA stuff from the 15th anniversary party, Founders CBH+). It's a lot tougher now. Believe me, I've messaged pretty much everybody who currently have it listed on their gots.

My $0.02: everybody who has a bottle with the intent to trade is expecting to be blown away before letting go.

Not surprising, given how Upland did the online signups.

Really? If anything b2 shouldn't be harder to pry away, given that there were multiple 'mini-releases' that weren't likely to be grabbed by non-Indy folks. This leads me to think that there are more people with multiple b2's than there were people with multiple b1's.

Whatev...it is what it is. I'm just glad I got my bottles while the getting was good.

I don't think the guy realized that his monopoly on the bathroom was my real motive for waiting outside of his store. I just didn't feel right dumping and ditching, so I bought the cheapest thing he had ready.

My figures were estimates but can't remember now. I used to know the case number but some of that was held back for tastings, events, and such.
