    It's time for Upland Brewing Company's 3rd Annual Midwest Sour + Wild + Funk Fest! This year it will be held on Saturday May 17th at Indianapolis City Market, Indianapolis IN. The new venue is more centralized with more parking options, free valet bicycle parking, an extended outdoor area and accessible to walk up traffic. With over 20 breweries already committed there will be plenty of sour, wild and funky beer to sample.

    Starting Monday, March 10 these ticketing options will be available:

    VIP: The VIP package gives you access to a private lounge, separate bathrooms, food, a VIP presentation and beer tasting, and early entry into the event. Also included in the VIP package is a commemorative t-shirt, swag bag, and a VIP lanyard. (Secret Barrel Society members receive a VIP entry as part of thier membership, for more information see secretbarrelsociety.com.)

    General Admission: A General Admission ticket gives you access to the event, light snacks and City Market Vendors will be open to sell heavier fare during the festival. There will also be an option to buy a commemorative t-shirt during ticket purchase for an additional $15.

    Any thoughts on a price for tickets? Did anyone attend last year, how was it? What can one expect?

    $50 for regular admission, $75 for VIP. I've been each of the last two years and it's been a great event both times. Last year was larger and more organized. This year they are using a new venue.

    Does the ticket include anything other than admission(pours, food, etc). Thanks for the info...Ive been trying to get away with the mrs. and we have talked about visiting Indy for the weekend and this sounds like just the thing to get us motivated!

    Anyone know what the line-up was last year? I'm sure it will be slightly different, but wondering what was being poured last year to get an idea.

    I refreshed right at 11a (CT) and never even had an option for VIP.

    I'd guess, as usual, they will come-and-go a bit as carts expire.

    Upland is saying that there were only 150 VIP tickets.

    I could dig out a lineup but not until later tonight. It was pretty awesome. There were basically unlimited pours (cases and cases of bottles) of BlackBerry and Sour Reserve from Upland. They also opened several vintage sours at random times and shared small pours. 5 or 6 sours from Destihl that were great but none lasted too long sadly

    Just an FYI there will be two VIP tickets for sale at Kahn's sour tasting on Thursday April 24th, in Indianapolis.
