Recently tried a small taste of the upland raspberry lambic and am interested in trying more. I have looked through some threads and done some research but trade values seem to be hard to judge for these. Looks like they are lottery and around 25 a pop. Not much clear info on bottle count and how often they are released. So thought I would ask for some feedback before formulating an offer. If I'm reading it right I would group the bottles by rarity/hard to get something like this:

    Gilgamesh
    Sour reserve

    Persimmon
    Kiwi

    Other fruit lambics

I guess I'm looking for examples of other bottles of the same levels. Is sour reserve of similar level to cable car for example? Kiwi/persimmon similar to a BA Speedway? Things like that....thoughts? I have my cellar link in my profile if someone cares enough to look. Thanks and cheers!

Switch Gilgamesh and Persimmon and you are correct.

I did a 1:1 trade with BA Kopi Speedway and Sour Reserve 3.

And in the "other fruits" category, there are some that have been produced more often and more recently that others. Peach hasn't been made in awhile. Raspberry has been released a few times recently. Blueberry was recent but seems to be in lower quantity. So there's a little variation within the "other fruits".

Raspberry, Blackberry, Cherry and Strawberry you should be able to get for 27$ $4$ trade.

Blueberry, and Kiwi and Gilgamesh will take just a little bit more than $4$

Persimmon, Sour Reserve will be your hardest to get. (Ba Speedway seems right on for both of these)

But they are supposed to release a new batch of persimmon in the coming months so you might be able to get that a little easier when that comes out. Last time Persimmon was bottled was in 2011 I think.

Peach hasn't been made since before Persimmon ( I think 2010 was the last time but don't quote me on that)

So until they make that again I bet it would be pretty hard to track down Peach.

    Goodluck!

From what I'm told Peach is going to be back this year. They are definitely increasing lambic production.

Right now, I'd go with this as the breakdown for rarity:

Peach, Gilgamesh, Sour Reserve #1, Persimmon

Kiwi, Malefactor, Blueberry, Sour Reserve 2-4

    Cherry, Blackberry, Strawberry, Raspberry

I put Sour Reserve 2-4 in the notch below SR 1 because frankly the 2-4 haven't been as good. Though they still might be in that top tier in terms of difficulty to acquire.

There will be more Kiwi, Persimmon, and Peach coming this year though.

I didn't know Persimmon was that rare. I didn't even know Gilgamesh was that rare and I have 2 that I got in trades. Were they always that rare?

Persimmon has been tough for a while now, but Gilgamesh/Malefactor isn't rare or hard to get in my experience.

Yeah, I have Gilgamesh, Kiwi, Cherry, Blackberry, and Strawberry at home and I didn't really have any more issues getting Kiwi or Gilgamesh over the others.

Haven't tried for Persimmon yet, though.

Getting Malefactor wasn't too difficult in the last lottery they had it. Getting a batch 1 Gilgamesh may be pretty tough now....i could be wrong though. Yes I know they are the same beer, but I imagine that getting B1 might take some work.

    I traded a SR3 1:1 for a Chocolate Rain.
I've also traded Kiwi for LP Framboise in a larger trade, 1:1 a few times with various Cantillons, 2 Uplands for a DDG, and gone $4$ or over for limited stuff.
You've got lots of stuff in your cellar that would do the trick.

No kidding? I've only had batch 3 but I must need SR1 in my life then cuz I thought SR3 was amazing. Preferred it over DDG after having them both within a week of each other.

I feel like there has been a decline in quality with each batch. Not to say they aren't good beers, because they certainly are. And it's likely that 2-4 just need more time....I'm hanging on to mine for a while to see if that's true. I preferred DDG, but I didn't have them as close together as you did. I just remember having more of a "wow" experience with DDG than SR 3.
