Never had this happen. Says damaged and discarded. Now says in transit. Im fairly certain all these bottles didn't break. What can be done? Been shipping beer over 8 years never an issue until now. Help!

If it now says in transit, how long till it gets there?

Not sure you have any option but let it go and see what happens. About the only option you ever have is calling the warehouse where it was last scanned and demanding you pick it up. Course, unless this happens right near you or the destination, it’s not worth it.

Can you screenshot please and black out anything private?

I've heard of shippers reboxing stuff that got messed up but I don't know how common it is.

I'm just curious if they would deliver to the return address instead of the intended recipient.. I can see it going either way. Sorry man I hope this all works out.

Had a similar situation years back. Shipped myself 10-12 bottles from Colorado while I was out there. They got to Illinois and it said damaged, they shipped back to the Colorado store I shipped from. About 1 week later, it was then shipped back to me. When it arrived, it was an empty box with a single beer soaked tshirt I had also put in the box.

along the way I spoke with a nice rep from UPS, didn’t tell her what was in the box, but she found out at some point. Her last statement to me was “just pack your box more carefully next time”...

hope this doesn’t happen to you, but not sure you can do anything until the box arrives.

@michaelg137 Any update on this? My buddy once had a trade box where one of the bottles broke in-transit. The FedEx people opened the box, removed the brolem bottle and bits of glass, cleaned it up, RE-PACKED THE BOX, and sent it in its merry way. I couldn't believe it. I also had the bottom fall out of a box once, and while nothing broke, the bottles were visible, and the UPS driver place the box in a bag and delivered it to the trader.

Obviously, these are rare exceptions, but it happens sometimes. It's quite possible that like my trade buddy, perhaps something was damaged, and they repacked the box and continued its course. Please update us on the outcome. Best of luck!
