Fellow BA's, I recently shipped myself a 12 bottle shipment of crooked stave from my visit this last week. After it didn't show up today I looked at the tracking and apparently was damaged today (so close to my home!!!). Anyway my questions are as follows as this has never happened to me before. Any info would be greatly appreciated. 1. Said some goods were damaged and others will be returned to sender. Do we think they are actually going to ship me any unbroken bottles- I suspect no. 2. Should I expect any trouble shipping beers and them obviously finding that out now? 3. Is this going to cause any problems shipping beer in the future? I.e. - I'm in the system as a beer shipper making packages more likely to be looked at? 4. Anyone else in Illinois had this happen to them and can provide details on their experience? Thanks all!
I've had a bottle break in transit and they (Fedex) removed the bottle and shipped the entire package back to me. All I got was a note saying not to ship alcohol. I switched over to UPS for a bit because I was worried but eventually made my way back to FedEx with no issues.
They will repackage and ship the unbroken bottles. They also refunded me the shipping cost and 3.50 for the value I declared of the can that broke. I switched to FedEx after, so can't help with the last part of your question.
I had breakage shipping ups once on the east coast. No package was returned, no refund given, but i didnt ask for any of that. Knowing what i was doing was illegal, i said nothing. I Continue to ship ups to this day, no problems, no mention of said incident.
