Mailed out a package yesterday via UPS and I went to check the status this morning and it said "delayed" with this message: "We've held the package at this facility. This may cause a delay. / Delivery will be rescheduled " I don't see any news regarding inclement weather or anything in Rhode Island. Do I chat with them and ask why the delay or just let it go and hope for the best? I bubble wrapped, put it in a styro shipper, taped the shipper closed with packing tape, and then put that in another brown box so there shouldn't be any possible way of it being damaged or leaking I wouldn't think. Any thoughts?
It might have not been put on the truck due to other circumstances. I would wait to see what status it comes up with this evening. If nothing then you can call tomorrow.
Yeah I am really hoping that's the case. I guess I'll just wait it out for now. I didn't know if anyone had run into a similar situation.
I've had a package sit on a truck for 2 days here at the Dallas facility. It eventually delivered to me. Sometimes they have to prioritize other things that can cause delays. If there isn't a damaged exception then I wouldn't worry much.
Update - package now in transit. I guess it was just held up for a day there for some reason. Thanks for talking me down from the ledge @Bimmers
