So I sent out a box to a regular trading partner and UPS lost the box in transit. Has anyone else had this issue? I put in a request for reimbursement for the shipping cost along with the cost of the bottles as "collectables". What's the likelihood I get the compensation I requested? How long does this usually take? Cheers.
That's what I'm hoping. I put in for $80 worth of product and $20 for the cost of shipping. Fingers are crossed.
On an acknowledged lost box you should get the $100 with ease. If you actually filed the paperwork as beer though, they can deny you anything based on it being alcohol.
I was sure to indicate "empty collectable beer bottles". Underlined and stressed empty and collectable many times.
I usually just call it glassware, but I had to be more descriptive when they were looking for the box.
The cops took me weed. I cannot live in this country anymore. Never happened to me but I have had a friend get compensated for a box that never got delivered to me.
My local UPS guy knows me as the 'Pickles and Hot Sauce' guy- I'm hoping he doesn't start asking for samples soon.
I've always been concerned with people looking to get samples or buy my sauce as well ...they would love it though.
Man, that stinks! I sure hope that UPS finds they box and the recipient of that package gets all those "collectable bottles"! (In all seriousness, I'm glad they are at least giving you your money back. Looking forward to this box!)
Just found out today that a check is going to be issued for the lost package. Unfortunately they lost a couple really nice fresh MA stuff, but it'll still be a nice box! Hope to resend next week.
