DOH! That hop character is the only one that irritates me more than the salty onions from Summit.
Guess I'll have to pass on this one unless I see it on sale or on tap.

Thought it was pretty tasty. Didn't get cat piss at all, got pine bitterness with some stone fruit thrown in on top. If it was a bit cheaper it would see regular rotation through my fridge.

Cracked one tonight. It isn't the Gubna...but I'm not much of a fan. Letting it get some air helps, but I don't see myself getting this one again. There are good flavors in there, but it's hard to get past that garlic salt thing.

So I bought one for $6.49, once I actually did the math its not too bad, $7.50 a bomber. I wanted to see how the can stacked up against the small glass I had on tap. Unfortunately the can had the garlic/onions going on. Meh.

Can't stand Summit hops.... I feel like I'm uber sensitive to them. Pass.

Not a fan of Summit either but I feel Upslope got just the right amount in there to make it really dank but not overpoweringly onion/garlic. Loving it!

I think a lot of the bigger IPA's focusing on extra pungent hops end up being divisive...and I don't really have a problem with that. I've even hated a few of Alpine's hoppy beers.
IMO, with the Upslope, it's closer to what the recent batches of Renegade's rye have become. If you don't like summit hops, you should beware, but you might still give it a chance. However if you truly *hate* them like I do, this won't be the beer to change your mind.

I just like to be able to pick out a discernible flavor, pine, citrus something...
