All things Urban Roots for calendar year 2020.

Personally, keep doing what you're doing, more packaged/ canned stuff, and please but bring back your cobb salad and dirty mac.

Im most excited for Urban Roots this year. They released some killer beers last year, including some delicious barrel aged goodies.

Best brewery in Sac as far as I’m concerned. They nail every style, and while they do make the haze, they don’t get caught up in the hype of it, and continue to make a wide variety of brews, all done top notch.

Anybody try the collab with Societe? They canned it and distro'd it.

Feels like pils and lagers have been back. Although, looks like Urban Roots is gonna take it to another level which is fine by me.

    On a different note.....

The BBA Chocolate Moustache w/Coconut Stout that was released on 2/14 was great. Bottles sold out pretty quick. It was on draft also. The non-BA Stouts were also good. Totally under the radar.

I remember Chocolate Moustache bottles availability last year lasted awhile. I was actually shocked some of the variants lasted as long as they did. Do people still not know about them? I tend to think Moksa and Moonraker get all the recognition in Sacramento.

Most know about them, just there are just so many choices locally now, plus all the distro choices at bottle shops. Hell, some locals think they are just a BBQ Restaurant...lol....

The Bourbon BA Bottles did go quicker this time. BBA CM w/Coconut did sell out that first day, but if you wanted one, there was no line. The other regular CM and CM Variants in the 22oz bottles lasted for days after that. Hell, still on tap now 1.5 weeks later.

Let's just keep this little secret amongst friends...haha.....

    Good luck with that. :sunglasses:

We're starting to see limited distribution of Urban Roots up here in Oregon, and I know that Rage Side is being featured at several TIPA tap takeovers here in PDX.

Everything I've heard about their beer so far has been very, very positive, so...

I don't know that I'd call it great, solid by CA standards. For my palate and preferences their beer >>> their BBQ. YMMV

Yes that is 100% true. I guess to me just being paired with their beer makes it seem great!

10 Degree (Czech Style Lager), Nothing Is Certain (Black Lager) and Comfort Hamster (Unfiltered Rustic Pils)
