So I am currently going through the process of becoming a US Citizen and I am studying US History and Civics to make sure I pass the test. So with my head firmly planted in all things American right now I thought I could have a little fun with this and ask for some celebratory beer recommendations from the BA Community...

I am not really looking for Highly rated suggestions, I am thinking a bit more lighthearted and cliché... Maybe a Home Run APA, or a Play Ball! Apple Pie Ale.

I am going to put on some Springsteen and wait for your Patriotic 'Murica' suggestions to roll in.

    Cheers.

when I passed my US Citizenship test the wife and I went to the Brick Store in Atlanta and had Oskar Blues G'Knight to celebrate. I still have a soft spot for that beer to this date even though it's not what I normally prefer

    Good luck!

Is Sierra Nevada Celebration too obvious?

For the name: Brew Free or Die!
For the style: anything ridiculously over-hopped by Stone.

    Cheers, and congratulations in advance!

Youll need the most 'merican beer around.....grab one of those 24's of Bud with the flag on the can...and after that to wash the taste out of your mouth crack open a Yuengling (Americas oldest brewery) and repeat

Cigar city just released blueberry cobbler. Sounds pretty American to me.
And congrats on the citizenship. Cheers!

I would second these, even though I'm not sure I've had Brew free or die. Good luck, my wife is in the process of getting citizenship as well.

I passed mine about 10 years ago and it was really really easy (so don't stress!)

What's more American than a 12oz can of Bud Light?

I'm not stressed about it. I'm sure I will pass with no problems, unless they make me drink a 12oz can of Bud Light... Don't think I could choke it down. HAHA

There are lots of good Australian beer but I can think of a few that are worthy of a drain pour
