Today is stage 5 in the USA Pro (Cycling) Challenge. Riders will travel 117.9 miles from Breckenridge to Colorado Springs, including an 11,528 ft Mountain pass. The stage finishes with three laps around downtown Colorado Springs, which means they will pass in front of my office 3 times. Our office is closing down for the afternoon and we will have a BBQ on the front lawn of our building while watching the race. In commemoration of such a joyous occasion I would like to give you beer if you answer correctly the following question:

Who will win this stage of the race?
Hint: This is a downhill stage so it is going to favor the sprinters, look for a surprise winner today, probably not one of the better known riders.

Tiebreaker: How long did it take me to bike in this morning?
Hint: I biked 7.4 miles, primarily downhill and got stopped at 2 stoplights, 80% of the commute is on a bike path.

Bonus Bottles: If you get these correct you will get extra bottles for each correct guess. Quality of bottle will be determined by how many points each person you selected gets
Bonus 1: Who will win Hoosier Pass (11,528ft) King of the Mountain points
Bonus 2: Who will win Fairplay Sprint points
Bonus 3: Who will win Woodland Park Spring points

Rules and Regulations: I grew up in Hawaii so Alaska and Hawaii are included in this one. I also know that there are plenty of overseas folks that watch cycling so if you want to participate I will still send out a box but it might be a bit thinner than a domestique (sic) box. Winner will start their own LIF in a reasonable amount of time.

Bob, tell'em what they could win:
The as yet, un-named, next Crooked Stave Cellar Reserve Release (well at least the next one that has more than a 1 bottle limit)
The box will be filled out with my favorite locals
    Trinity (750 and Growler options)
    BA Ruffian?
    Upslope cans
    Funkwerks
    Wants, should be wants, homebrews...

Forgot to mention that the race starts at 10:50 AM MT so I will accept guesses until Noon MT.

Also, if no-one picks the stage winner correctly I will take the closest to my commute time (not Price is Right, can't go over BS).

Lastly, be sure to follow along with their tour tracker here:

One hour warning, if you want to guess, get it in now.

Picking Rory Sutherland to win (sentimental pick would have been Fast Freddie, but I think he's just a bit too old). None of the guys in the top 10 are going to win this stage. And if Voigt wins again after yesterday, that would be truly epic.

    25 minutes

    Bonus 1: Castiblanco Cubides
    Bonus 2: Caruso
    Bonus 3: Ben Jacques-Maynes

I forgot that the first KOM was so early in the race, well if anyone gets in a late guess, they should get at least one Bonus Bottle
