How do you guys treat your turbinado? I just added it to my bottling bucket and gave it a few modest stirs, leaving some course granuels in the bottom and throwing off my carbonation...

As far as process I treat it like every other sugar; mix it with 1 pint of water and boil it for 5 minutes. Sugar is dissolved so no granules to worry about.

Fairly sure you will have uneven carbonation. Maybe even some bottle bombs. The sugar has to be evenly distributed to each bottle. Pretty hard to do when you just dump sugar in the bottling bucket and stir. Be careful with this batch.

The post above is how you do it with any type of sugar or honey. I get by with 8oz of water. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved before pitching.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
