USPS Tracking # Duplicate

    I created a USPS label online today and dropped the package off at the local post office. Went to check tracking later in the day and the status is "DUPLICATE".

    The USPS site then allows you to enter more detail including the send date and the delivery zip code - I assume to zero in on the correct package. So I entered this info and the status is still "DUPLICATE".

    Anyone run across this before?

    Saw this a few hours ago and thought to myself; “hmm, never seen or heard of that before” no shit 10 mins ago I went to track something on USPS and I got the same thing. Shows duplicate and when prompted for send date and zip it still comes up duplicate

    Ha! I had the same thing yesterday. As soon as I dropped off and they checked the item in, tracking updated

    I had this happen on an incoming box a few weeks ago. Everything ended up fine since the box started moving.

    This seems to be the new norm. But it straightens itself out once the box starts moving as others have said.
