I don't know much about Utopias and was hoping you guys could answer some questions for me. Thanks in advance. 1) I know it's not a yearly release, but how hard is it to find (today)? 2) I think it runs about $129, but does it typically trade $4$ or is it considered more rare? 3) Do you drink it cold or closer to room temperature? 4) Are certain years much more accessible? Are certain years more coveted?
1) It was released in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013. It's not terribly hard to find the recent year(s), but often the ones that are still sitting around are at stores that are charging a lot more than MSRP. 2) MSRP is $200. The new years trade roughly $4$ for limited shelf beer. Or sometimes you'll see people offer/accept a bottle or two of much rarer beer for Utopias. 3) Room temp. No colder than 55. 4) The more recent the year, the easier it will be to track down. The 2012 is the 10th Anniversary and tends to be desirable because the packaging is different. Otherwise the older years are typically more desirable. From a personal opinion regarding taste, my favorites were 2007, 2002, and 2012. My least favorites were 2003 and 2009.
