Then at least give it a shot IP.

You are gonna hafta do better than what I saw above, prob. along the lines of saving minimally versus $4$, so add another 3 decent bottles, and then consider Utopias were probably cheaper near to you than where you might need to send, add in shipping 7 or more bottles, well, this is why I said better to go to store. But what do I know? Good luck, post it up and let us know how it goes.

Thanks for all recommendations. I figured it would take a lot. My cellar is not overly impressive but just wanted to see if I could secure a bottle. Actually do have a few Midwest distro only brews so maybe a local trader will be interested

I see. Well, for what it is worth, this is a great example of why you shouldn't stockpile bottles. They quite often end up being unable to trade for exactly what you want...

Exactly what I am doing. 4 to 6 bottles of semi rare yearly stuff for a expensive shelf beer

Great thing about this site and people on it always willing to trade beers to help other BAs taste something they have never had

Has anyone here trading for small amount of Utopias?

e.g. ISO: two ounces of Utopias FT: Dark Lord

I did. Unfortunately it all sloshed out of the tasting glass while in transit from the east coast.

FYI, the 2013 RS membership price included 10 (TEN) bottles, plus a nice quality logo hoodie. Beers included White Chocolate, Melange #3, Chocolate Rain, 2 bottles of Black Tuesday, plus a few more upcoming 'mystery' beers.

Hah! I think my point is still valid if you replace "the few beers" in my post with "the ten beers and nice quality logo hoodie." I wasn't hating on the Bruery, just pointing out that there are hidden costs in most of the beer acquiring methods ridglens brought up. But I also already backpeddled a bit on the rantiness of my post and ultimately agreed with the fundamental point ridglens was making (that the level of rarity OP mentioned wasn't going to make up for the $ difference for Utopias).

Sometimes I focus more on A and C than B.
