    I have a friend staying there for a few weeks. I occasionally have reason to travel there for work.

    Any recommendations?

    Not much of a beer scene there, but they've got Blue Magic, Romantic Village and Tochigi Microbrewery.

    Also, just a heads up that Rate Beer is pretty decent for Japan beer information.

    Are you registered with FlyerTalk as well?
    I can't link to it, but the FT forum is having its Japan Do, the first since 2019, in Tokyo - and Ueno, Asakusa, & Utsunomiya in focus, on 6-9 April 2023.
    I have managed to scarf a "miracle" airfare from ORD to TYO and will be there on and around those dates. I can't scrawl any more.

    Never heard of FlyerTalk or Japan Do, I'll have to Google those.
