I don't know what happened to yours, but I've packed up to 8 bombers in my luggage and never lost a single one.

I ate at the Raven Cafe, which was pretty decent, but found the beer was Plaza Liquor and Deli. It's on W. Goodwin Street. You'll find in the back corner of the shopping center. Don't get confused and go into the Liquor Barn across the street. That place was dreadful...lol. I wish I had more time to visit more beer related stores. On Cortez, across from the Raven Cafe, there is Granite Mountain Brewery. I didn't get a chance to go in there as they opened later in the afternoon. I will do more the next time I'm out there. This was more of the girlfriends trip than mine.

Wish I knew. Maybe a combonation of heat and cooling along with a little throwing of the luggage.

One of the BIG pluses of FW BA Beers is that they are plenty ready to drink out of the gate...

Man I am feeling much better now after hearing this story. When I went on vacation this past year my wallet was stolen the first day of an 8 day cruise, so we couldnt buy any food or drink the rest of the trip. On the 4th day while I was digging through the ships garbage for dinner a enourmous rat popped out of the garbage and bit off 2 of my fingers. On the 7th day my wife was spear hunting seagulls on the deck for lunch, she leaned a little too far over the rail and fell into the water and drowned. When I finally got home I found out that my grandma and my dog were killed in a motorcyle accident while I was on vacation. My friends told me that they had never heard of such an amazingly bad vacation......little did they know there was a person out there who had experienced FAR FAR worse.........the Parabola vacation "disaster!"

I once extended a vacation for a side trip for beer, and then fretted for 6-7 hours over the 5 bottles of The Abyss in my suitcase. Returned home to find it well over 100F in Wichita that day, and of course the air conditioning had failed, as did the chiller in the fish tank. As it turns out the bottles survived the trip. The nearly $10K worth of coral did not.

    my god, the smell...
I ended up just giving the bottles away as I couldn't deal with the reminder.

I've never had TSA unwrap my bottles and I do this all the time. I always include a note asking TSA to please put everything back the way the found it.

To the OP: Always put the beer in ziplocs to avoid the mess if they do break. Double bag them and bubble wrap is what I always do.
