The service at Greenbush is great. Much of the beer is so good that they sometimes have a hard time keeping up with demand. That's what happens when you're a small brewery that makes good stuff. I would suggest calling Greenbush to find out what they have before you go up there, but it's worth the drive.

It really depends on who your server is at FFF, imo. I think service there has gotten much better over the last two years or so as a whole, but it certainly can still be poor at times.

That being said, it makes more sense that service at FFF is poor when it is almost always full (and the beer/food are actually worth waiting for when need be) rather than maybe 15% of the place is full at Shoreline, the servers are standing around doing nothing and the beer and food are nothing special at all.

Indianapolis went smoke free recently. Small step for the state, but it made the bars around the city much better (IMO, of course).

Indiana is non-smoking as of July 1st (except casinos).

9 out of 10 times I'll get good service at FFF, but when it's bad, it's terrible. Their beer/food makes up for it.

I think all of Shoreline's hoppy beers have the same flavor (onion-y, garlic undertones). Most of their beers seem kind of muddy. I don't know how they get away with barrel aging a kolsch and charging $20 for it.

I went to Greenbush last weekend. Really good beer and good food. I'll definitely be going back!
