I know that quality for quality is the typical on BA, and when quantity is involved, $4$ is the norm. I know that the beers below are mostly limited (or very limited) shelf. But, I have to ask anyway: If I wanted to "trade up," what could I realistically ask for for any combination of the following beers: BA Imperial Biscotti Break PW Square Grouper PW (BA) Over The Line PW (BA) As You Wish PW (BA) Coqui Bo and Luke (red wax-not variant) Total value of the package is around $100--likely a little shy... I'd like to land a few very limited or brewery only releases to share with friends (with a preference for BA beers), but don't know exactly where to start with what I currently have... It's really hard to answer that question without knowing what you're specifically looking for. There are thousands of limited release beers, and lot of them are attainable with some combination of what you're offering. Just taking a stab at it, I'd guess you wouldn't be in line for any of the big boys (a la DB Huna, BA Abraxas, BAMCs, Assassin, KBBS, etc.). I would think you'd have a shot at some of the Bruery stouts (probably not MW, but maybe I guess). I would think you could get something like BASC, reg ANTEAD, any of the 12 ozers like BN, BCBS, KBS, BA Blackout, BBPt5, BB Siberian Night, etc.. I'd come up with a list of what you want and post that to see if you'd get any hits though. Too many options to just guess what you could get.
I appreciate the feedback--I know that the options are many. I guess my question, knowing that volume for quality doesn't usually make a trade, how big of a bottle can I look for... As someone who has enjoyed craft for a while, but has also been limited to mostly local (except when I am on a vacation), I am still trying to get a grasp on where to start (so many options!)
