Never had Abyss, saw the scotch BA version last winter but was not willing to open my wallet that far.

I hope Bigfoot gets here this year. Last year it was almost unseen. I found 1 six pack in March.

    Enjoy

I have found that generally, The Abyss variants left me wanting. Also, cellaring them didn't do my palate any favours.

Never knew that, I’d prefer to try one first before buying a case. Is there a way to see if it’s even in distro here?

I'm sure this has been said plenty of times above, but I think there's no contest that the best value Barrel Aged Stout is Willetized from Lagunitas. Consistently boasts a solid 13+% and always features great balanced barrel on a reliable stout base for a grossly under-appreciated price. As an honorable mention I'll throw in Wiseacre's Astronaut Status into the mix as well (aged in Woodford Reserve Kentucky Bourbon barrels for 11 months with some cinnamon sticks and vanilla beans tossed in) because it's really damn good, and a good value for a 22oz bomber.

Came here to say barreled treasure. My local grocery had them in their $10 build a sixer section and I cleared em out.

Make the drive down and grab some abyss and maybe some of the bearded iris that randomly showed up.

Boulevard is the correct answer and it isn't even a debate IMO (Besides Lagunitas's barrel-aged stout).. it's $14.99/4pk for ALL of their barrel-aged beers regardless of if it's year-round or seasonal.. their barrel program is diverse and high quality..

I miss spoke it's barrel aged PM Noche and I don't think 5 bucks a beer is excessive for something barrel aged and good. Cheers.

That's a great price for barrel aged PM. I thought the barrel aged ones were like $26 a bottle.

Some of their stuff is ridiculously priced. Springdale Barrel Room, Jack's Abby's side project if you will, does some barrel aged stouts but those are pricey as well.
