Been wanting to try both of these for awhile now... :slight_frown:

How would a Cantillon Rose 375ml and/or Cantillon Gueze 375ml do for landing some BCBS and/or BCBCS?

People have made some very good points in this thread. It's likely that the beers you want to receive in trade are not as good as the ones you are looking to trade. BCBS and BCBCS are top notch brews. You may kick yourself for trading them down the road. Now, if you've had both and still want to trade, then that's a different story.

Also, none of the beers except for PtY are out of reach with either BCBS or BCBCS. I've traded a 4pk of BCBS for CBS and 1:1 BCBS for KBS more than once.

    Good luck!

What is this? I thought we were suppose to post all offers in threads? Is there another way to set up trades that I don't know about? :grinning:

a very good point - if its as good or better than bcbs (which i hear it is), i might just keep it....it all depends on how many bottles i get.....but turning two bcbcs into a bcbcs and a cbs sure is tempting

this has been helpful - i learned that i (hopefully) have some valuable stuff.....and the problem of drink vs trade is a nice one to have....if i do decide to trade, ill be sure to let you all know (already had some private offers, actually)

If you are new to trading and haven't had a whole lot out of your distro I would go with bang for your buck. For instance try to land some Pliney along with a bunch of other sweet local type stuff that you've always wanted to try. Just because it's hard to get doesn't mean it's good or better than off the shelf stuff, trust me. The hunt is part of the fun for sure but I bet there is so much out there you've yet to try if your new to trading.

Also I did KBS for BCBS 1:1 multiple times this year.

Update: So in a cruel twist of fate (schedule conflict), I was unable to make the release and didn't get the beer. Oh well, such is life. However, a friend of mine did make it and left with quite a haul - BCBS, BCBCS, King Henry and a Bramble Rye. To put it lightly, I'm very jealous. There was a silent auction for a RARE BCBS and he missed by $5 (winning bid was $80, which is a little crazy if you ask me).

I'll have to keep an eye out for the next one.

I'm confused. What release was this?

Not a brewer release, but my local shop had a supply of BCBS (and variants), King Henry, etc. and had a big release with tastings, food and raffles.

Apparently the trade value on BCBS went way the fuck up. I've got Hunahpu's + a Zhukov + whatever else it takes, to anyone that has some extra. I'm looking for 6. I can get rare easier than I can get BCBS right now....the second ISO I've done with zero replies....:astonished:

There's gotta be someone out there that stockpiled this shit.

BCBCS is one of my favorite beers, if not my favorite. I've managed to land a few this year. I can't believe people would give it up for anything....but I'm glad they do.

So what's so great about rare that makes it worth 4-5 times the price of the other stuff? Aside from the fact that it is, well, rare and hard to get.

Oh, and one other general question for everyone - so the regular BCBS comes out in December. How hard is it to score a bottle? I got my first bottle this year when I was looking around and noticed about 8 of them just sitting on the shelf (of course I'm a moron and only got 1). They had even been there a few days. Is that normal? I'm really looking forward to more next year.

No that's not normal at all.

Get yourself a bottle and find out. For me, it is one of the beers that really lived up to (even surpassed) the hype.

you missed a hell of an event.

basically this was a GI tasting and Rare beer release with GI reps there pouring beers and bottles for sale. there was food, a nice crowd (someone brought an 06 - 11 BCBS vert to share!). mellow afternoon, everyone left with more beer than they had expected. we were allowed to go back for 2nds on most beers that were for sale. this was part of LI Craft Beer Week. really had an awesome time and came home with a hell of a haul. also, not sure where you got that $80 price tag as i'm pretty sure that the 2 silent auctions went for quite less than that.
