Like the title says, we are flying in for one night as we get ready for our first cruise, Alaska northbound out of Vancouver. We, 4 of us won’t have much time to walk and explore downtown or much of the city. So I’m asking for recs on food and beers-IPA’s. We are staying near Chinatown and Gastown. Not far from metro station Stadium-Chinatown. Pub or restaurant with local taps or brewery that serve food is welcomed.
The Magnet is a short walk from there, best beer bar in the city, great food too. Cocktails/Cider/Wine/Whisky as well and not just afterthoughts. themagnet.ca For IPA overload you could head over to Superflux Brewing, however Magnet will likely have them on tap along with many other local hop forward beers. You're not far from a bunch of other East Van breweries. Luppolo, Threefold (Boombox, Slow Hand, Temporal), Strange Fellows. Brassneck isn't too long a walk from Chinatown area either.
