    Alright couldn't wait any longer it's too nice to pretend Winter hasn't been over for months now.

    Lots coming up in the next few months, festival wise there's all kinds with VCBW, Farmhouse Fest, Squamish Beer Fest, something for everyone really. It's at the point where every weekend there's a high probability of a beer event going on worth checking out. Rumours of a few really cool imports about to show up in BC too.

    Strange Fellows is close to releasing their first fellowship beer. Four Winds just bought 8 foudres. The Callister breweries switch over in July with some exciting things coming in. More and more breweries are getting in on the barrel aging action.

    Too much to list here. Update and request as needed.

    I suspect we'll see some new breweries open up soon too. Luppolo, Faculty, Strathcona, and maybe (but probably not) Andina?

    I'm out in the strait this summer. I'm guessing that's far from the madding crowd but hoping to try a few BC bevies. Any suggestions if I'm Comox, Denman, Hornby area?

    Sorry I could have been clearer. We land in Comox on the big island and are staying on Denman island and day tripping to Hornby island. Don't think a day trip to Vancouver to pick up beer will float unfortunately.

    If you can make it over to powell river (via boat or ferry) you can hit up Townsite brewing which is a great brewery

    Saw on another site that BC is getting Modern Times in the near future. Anyone heard about this? Cans? Kegs? One off shipment for Farmhouse Fest or a regular thing?

    They have four year round beers, but a whole bunch of seasonal rotating ones and one offs. not sure what they have out now but whatever is in season! Their brewmaster is from Belgium so thats one of their areas of expertise

    Well the CBAs are on now, VCBW starts, and Alibi room is doing a whole special week for their 10th anni. :astonished:

    Anyone going to the beer festival this weekend? I am excited to try some American breweries that I haven't before and am hopeful that some of the locals bring some special beers. Should be good either way though.

    was there friday and it was a pretty nice setup. lots of space to move around and tons of breweries pouring. Good mix of local, US and a few east coast too.

    Just spent a few more nights in Vancouver earlier this weekend and hit a lot of the usual suspects - really enjoyed the Machine IPA's at Callister. Callister, in general, is just a really cool and interesting place. Also - I'd like to give a shoutout to whatever entrenepeurs have cornered the cheesy bread and beef stick markets in Vancouver - that product is in every brewery in town. Genius.

    Will be visiting Whistler and Vancouver from Texas next week! Looking forward to checking out the beer scene up north!
