Is a 1:1 trade good? If not which side is short? Also, what combo of Vanilla Rye and Prop will it take to land a DB Huna? Thanks for the help.
Vanilla and Prop both have to add for Caffe Americano. Membership only, 2200 bottles. My buddy did DB Huna for 2x Prop but i feel like he gave away the farm on that one but he also has 8 bottles of Vanilla, so it probaby didnt matter
your logic only holds when considering bottle counts, which frequently is not the best way to figure out trade value. lots of people looking for prop and vanilla rye. few people trading it S of yet. I've seen lots of posts offering cafe americano. I've seen few iso cafe americano. Add to that the respective taste of said beers and cafe americano probably winds up adding
I haven't had the BA Cafe Americano yet, but I can say the non BA from last year was amazing. I only got one, and I will be drinking it with friends.
Just my 2 cents as I haven't had this years prop, but did try last years and BA caffe americano. I personally won't even consider trading my caffe americano for prop.
It doesn't carry the same pedigree as a Zhukov or Huna based beer, which many have had the chance to try. Caffe was DONG last year so not many beer geeks outside of FL know about it's awesomeness. That said, I'll probably just drink mine since I only have one, which I feel the majority of Catadors will do since they only have one as well. Oh well, good problems.
My logic is my opinion, I was merely giving stats and my reasoning as why the OP may have to add. Trade value is subjective and we know this. That person who did it 1:1 may have multiple memberships and/or tried BA Caffe but got shut out on Vanilla so they're willing to give up that bottle to get something they havent tried that is obviously desirable. I would want a + for my BA Caffe in that FT, but that doesnt mean I'm 'off' in my value due to the stats I gave. If both parties are happy, then drink up
He traded with me. I have had BA Caffe. I dont like it. Which is surprising because most BA Cigar City stouts are awesome. I didn't try and maximize trade value I just traded for something I wanted to someone that wanted something I didn't care for.
