So im guessing most of you read the embarrassing article about 'Vaucluse Bitter" winning the Surry Hills craft beer festival. If not heres a link http://www.betootaadvocate.com/unca...cover-to-win-surry-hills-craft-beer-festival/ So my question is. Does this show how far Australia is behind in the craft beer scene ? I personally believe its a representation of the Sydney craft beer scene since Melbourne is thriving. The large amounts of 'Hipsters' who just follow the trends and fall for these cute stories of how the breweries started up and their small micro setups whilst not caring enough for whats in the glass.
It just proves that hipsters are not the driving force behind craft beer. They are merely passengers.
I gotta say that since they changed the recipe back, its a pretty decent lager. Maybe sometimes we get a little precious about these things !
