Whole Foods at the lower end of the Strip. Khoury's in Henderson if you can get there. I used to go to the Lee's chain but stopped a couple years ago when their beer program seemed to stagnate. Not sure if it's better now. There are a couple of Total Wines, though many of the brands will be familiar to you if you go to TW around here. There's a mega-Walgreens in the middle of the Strip across from the Cosmopolitan with some nice beer selections, esp. locals. If you're looking for something special that is not currently on the shelves, you may find it in the bottle cooler at Freakin' Frog. you'll pay an arm and a leg for it (and I'd never buy an IPA there) but I have picked up some beer there from time to time.
heading to vegas thsi weekend, eitehr friday night or saturday and would love to know a few beers to look for while out there i cannot get in florida. any insight wo0uld be helpful. and if anyone wants to do an IP trade for some local florida stuff (jai alai, zhukov, etc), feel free to BM me. would need to know rather soon as i may be flying standby friday sometime.
Definitely check out Khoury's Fine Wine & Spirits if you can. I think they still have some of their 10 year anniversary, barrel aged stouts available. Usually also a good selection of Firestone, Deschutes, New Belgium, and some west coast stuff that may or may not hit Florida. Also may want to try to get some of the other locals...Joseph James, Tenaya Creek, Big Dogs and Bad Beat all have some solid offerings.
For Vegas locals I was wondering where you go primarily for craft beer. I pretty much rotate for bottle selection Total Wine (either Henderson or Summerlin), Khoury's, and the Whole Foods in summerlin. Any other locations that legitimately have a selection with different items regularly? I'll echo the Lee's sentiment, they seem to much more focus on hard alcohol and wine than beer.
The only other place i can think of is White Cross. However, shopping at TW and Khourys Is like putting A1 on a steak, you just shouldnt do it.
