Hey folks in Vegas - my sister is on a little vacation there in a couple of weeks and offered to mule me home some bottles for my birthday. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea what distro is like in Vegas or what might be worth bringing home.

Any ideas? She generally just goes for novelty bottles, so I'd really prefer having a list of legitimately good beers to give her. What's on shelves right now that might be there in the next two or so weeks?

Really appreciate the help - thank you all!

I'd second this question as I'm going to be out there for a day or so in Sept.

I will be there late August and wondering as well. It's been a couple years since our last trip and at least on strip Craft beer was starting to show up at a few places in the major casinos. I've heard it's gotten a bit better since then. This time we will be going off strip a lot so willing to drive!

Since there were no answers here (which I came for too) just guessing that there aren't any great bottle shops around the area. Usually when I travel I can make a decent game plan, find a shop to follow on social media, see what's new, set up some IP trades. Looks like Vegas is a beer desert as well.

Freakin Frog closed in 2014. That was a special place. 100 degrees outside and 38 degrees in their walk in cooler. Most every bottle you'd ever want to see. Onsite only though, I think.

Is it ever going to reopen? Anyone?

Frog is long gone. I believe the owner is about ready to move out of state too. He still was doing some private tastings for his "Whiskey Attic" and teaching some courses at UNLV though.

Best bottle shop in town is still Khoury's Fine Wine & Spirits. Big beer night and bottle share every Wednesday. Usually regulars hanging out on Fridays too. 11 beers on draft plus wine and whatever you want to open from the coolers or shelves.

Yea, Khoury's is the place to go. Otherwise google the total wines, etc closer to the strip if you don't want to make the 20 min drive.

Like mentioned before Khoureys is cool but pretty small. Not a huge selection but chill atmosphere.

Aces and Ales is cool as well but that's full on Bar. But definitely has allot more taps then most places. There are two locations (Tenaya location and Nellis location).

    Atomic Liquors.

Top Shelf has a pretty good selection as well. Two locations as well and it's only to go.

Also if anyone wants to set up trade hit me up in private. Maybe we can work something out.

    Hope these places help.
