Hey guys i'm leaving for Vegas for the weekend and I wanted to ask where do you guys go drink in Vegas? I'm not looking for any fancy spots just some great beer Stouts, IPA's etc etc... Do you guys pack a cooler full of your beer and sip on that or what? I'm thinking of taking my own but would like to sip on some good shet at a bar while there preferably on the strip. Thanks in advance for any tips.
I've tried in vain for years to find a good bottle shop in Vegas but the best I've been able to track down is either the Total Wine on Rampart or Khoury's. Neither are mind blowing. As for drinking if you're on the strip there's the place in the Venetian (Public House) or maybe the Yard House near the Linq? I go to Vegas a lot for work from LA and it's a shame the craft scene hasn't really exploded there in recent years. Someone else who lives there might know more than me about its intricacies but this has been my experience as a visitor.
Thanks for your reply. I guess if worse come to worse I can hit up Total Wine and hope they got some decent 6 packs and bombers there.
There's a pretty good store on Fremont, The Market. Kind of like a small, local Whole Foods, but with a pretty good beer selection. Downtown Vegas > the strip imo anyways
Haven't been out in awhile but if you're staying on the Strip, you can always take the Double Deuce downtown and hit the likes of 777 at Mainstreet Casino. Chicago Brewing has a satellite bar at Four Queens and I believe a new one or two have opened since I was out. IF you can get off the Strip, hit Big Dog. Good food and good beer. We always hit there when we're out. Teneya Creek is off the Strip, too; they also have good brews.
It is really tough to please a California tourist as our distro is really just a little brother to what y'all are seeing. That being said if you have a car, go to Khourys and relax a little away from the strip. Solid bottle shop with 11 draft lines that are the most respectable in the city. Great conversation and a knowledgeable staff that cares about customer service.
I'll be going to Vegas for the first time in January and I'll be spending a good amount of time at the Venetian! The question I came here to ask is, what Las Vegas/ Nevada beers should I be on the lookout for? Anything I just gotta try try while I'm down in the Southwest? I'm from Minnesota and will be looking to try some good locals. Thanks in advance!
