Vegas: Favorite readily available IPA?

    Hi everyone,

    I'm moving to Las Vegas to teach for a year, and having never been to Las Vegas, I'm looking to find a solid, reliable IPA. I prefer local beers, but would also like to hear your favorite readily available IPAs in general.

    Big Dog's has had the best hoppy beers locally, but Tenaya Creek (Hop Ride and Tandem) and Joseph James (Hop Box and Citra Rye especially) are catching up quick!

    You can usually find Sculpin and Green Flash IPA's around town too.

    Hey, thanks very much for this. Are the locals available only in growlers, or can you get them in bottles/cans?

    Love Sculpin and GF, but by the time they get to Chicago they aren't terribly fresh. Looking forward to more of those during my stay in LV.

    Big Dogs, Tenaya Creek, and Joseph James all bottle their beer and you can find them around town at Khoury's Fine Wine, Total Wine, Whole Foods, Lee's Liquor, and various grocery stores. You can get bottles at Tenaya Creek for sure, and I believe Big Dogs as well.

    Joseph James also cans in addition to their bottles. The Hop Box is available and the Citra Rye will be in cans soon. Unfortunately they are a production facility only right now, so you have to find them at retail stops or local bars.
