I'll be in Vegas for two weeks or so in August, and I'm pretty sure I'll be staying somewhere with a fridge. So the question is...where do I go to stock up some post work beverages? Honestly, I'm not looking for anything extraordinary or world class - other tour stops included multiple California visits (hello, fresh West Coast IPAs) and New Mexico (I'm a sucker for Marble Brewing).

I'll be staying just northwest of the Cox Pavillion/Thomas & Mack Center. Is there anywhere within walking distance (or an extremely short cab ride) where I can pick up something simple like a 12 of Sierra Nevada or a Sam Adams variety pack? I obviously wouldn't mind something a step up from those, but I'd gladly take something like that in my fridge over multiple visits to what sounds like a fairly expensive Hoffbrauhaus near the hotel (yes, I'll visit once).

Thanks all! I realize this is probably a dumb question, but no solutions have really jumped out at me.

The double down saloon is within walking distance from there. At harmon and paradise I am sure there is a package store. Freakin' Frog may also be within walking distance as well, but with the summer heat you may want a cab ride. There is also a Lee's on Flamingo, but haven't been there in years and have no idea if it would be worth the cab ride.

If you are just looking for things to bring back to your hotel and don't care about drinking them at the establishment, just buy them from the Vons/Albertsons (convienence stores) near by. If you would like to drink them at the location, the closest things to you will be the Freakin Frog, & Hoff. House. Other than that, there really won't be anywhere within walking distance that will allow you to get anything great for craft beers. And expensive as Hoff. may be, Freakin frog is even worse.

As far as stores are concerned, if you wanted you could cab it to Town Square and check out the whole foods there to pick up some better stuff. This would probably be easist for you since you could very simply get a cab back. Otherwise, there is a Lee's on Flamingo road just down from where you described which would be relatively cheap and we do a bottle share type event every Wednesday at a liquor store called Khourys but that would be a pretty hefty cab ride and might be more frustrating trying to get one back.

Ah, so convenience stores do sell! I completely forgot to even consider that - I'm too used to the laws here in PA to even investigate that route. On the map, I see that there's a CVS very, very close by - do they carry anything at all above BMC/Heineken?

CVS should have 12'ers of Sierra, Sam, and probably a few other decent selections.
There is this liquor store I found on google maps right there too, that would probably have more bombers and 6'ers.

Whole foods on the blvd won't be a crazy cab ride. Could even catch the bus if you had to... Will have the best selection as far as picking stuff upand bringing it back.
