Trust me on Pub365 at Tuscany. Between the taplist and the friendly prices, I ended up there twice. Was a great recommendation given on this thread.

One more tip applicable to your trip, hit Ellis Island for their Holiday Egg Nog, and their Front Yard bar for their expanded beer list (their standard house pours in the casino are just so-so).

Other recommendations still apply. Have a great trip, Christmas time is my favorite time to be in Vegas but not sure I'm going this year. These are my top recommendations, the Arts District has the best overall beer scene (multiple places nearby).

    Viva Las Vegas!!!

Beer Zombies bottle shop (the one on Dean Martin) is a 5 minute drive from the stadium.

@ChicagoJ, I've seen you recommend Ellis Island numerous times over the years and I've always been interested in visiting, but for some reason I had it in my head that they were on Freemont Street. I was looking at a map and was surprised to see they they are right around the corner from Pub 365. I will definitely hit Ellis next time I am over that way.

I'm kicking myself a little though because a few years back I took a couple buddies to Vegas who are in the big/cheap/cold beer crowd. We were over in that area and based on some quick internet research landed at Stage Door Casino. Big letdown there. My buddies would have loved Ellis Island Front Yard though. Maybe next time...

Regarding Ellis Island, I primarily recommend it for the proximity to the Strip, as that is where most tourists are coming from. Their standard beers are OK / so-so (but cheap), but their specialty beers in the Front Yard can be much better/really good, IMO. If you play video poker at the bar, your beers will be comped (though those are definitely not "full pay" machines). Their Holiday Egg Nog, however, is outstanding (at least for my taste). My brother and I always stop in for one when I'm in town at Christmas time.

We used to stop into Stage Door back in the day for a couple of $1 Michelob's (same with Casino Royale), but haven't gone in since they installed metal detectors at the entrance several years ago. It's a different scene/crowd at this point. Also don't put up with the smoking as I did back in the day, which is why I prefer going to breweries for the most point, since many don't allow indoor smoking.

I was in Vegas for a long weekend (Thursday - Saturday) for a college football game. While I had to work remotely (so my wife and I didn't get out as much), we did walk over to the Tuscany Pub365 on Friday (and saw all the people going to the shuttle bus to the EDC).

Really, really, enjoyed the Pub365. Good food and great service. Not a huge or impressive place, but nice and low key which is my style. The beer selection is amazing and they have a unicorn menu (bottles) which left me crying because I wanted to try 10-20 if not more of the beers. I had a couple of local beers (Able Baker and Beer District) and a unicorn - 2016 Double Bastard on the Rye which was amazing (only $8 for 500ml). LOL!

We leave for Vegas on Wednesday. I have my doubts about our use of Spirit airlines to get there, but thanks to this thread, I have no doubts about our ability to find good food and drink in Vegas. Thanks guys!

As a former resident of Las Vegas for 16 years, enjoy your visit! The beer scene nowadays is far better than what I experienced for most of my time living there. Get off of the Strip, most of the good stuff will be found elsewhere.

Don't be afraid to do your business at the smaller establishments. Take time to visit Henderson, there's some nice beer to be found in the "Booze District" and at Khoury's Liquor.

The "Arts District" not far from old Las Vegas (aka Fremont Street) has some great beery stops too.

Have fun, and as a 16 year veteran working at a major strip casino/hotel I'd say ... it's better to keep your money in your pocket to spend on good beer than to donate to the rich casino owners.

    Have fun!

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. The wife and I are not big gamblers, and I don't expect to spend much time in the casinos. We're mostly here for the Saturday evening Wine Spectator event, which I'm fairly certain will be a lot of fun.
