Vegas next week

    I checked out seekabrew and it seems there is not much in Vegas I can't get in TX, but has these listed:

    Brau Bros [Limited]
    Flying Fish [Limited]
    Fort Collins
    Grand Teton
    Lost Coast
    Mad River (Steelhead)
    Mammoth [Limited]
    Speakeasy
    Sprecher
    The Bruery

    I want to get some Bruery while I'm there, does the Whole Foods at the south end of the strip carry a good selection of them? Or is there another place I could get to cheaply and easily from the strip with a good selection? Don't want to make a long trek to Khouris or Total Wine. Any other beers I should be on the lookout for?

    Strip Whole Foods would be your best bet. Khourys always has a great selection. CHeers

    I hate that 6.9 miles from the airport to Khoury's seems to be too long a trek for most. Bummer. =(

    Whole Foods on the south end of the strip, or White Cross Market on the north end are your best bets. Bruery availability is hit or miss. There's usually only a handful of them floating around at any given time.

    The Total wine on Stephanie and warm springs always has a few to select from....Khoureys is cool but a very small selection of beer there overall.

    What I've read is that Khouris is a pretty decent cab fare from the strip, is that the case? Because I'd love to go there, much rather support the smaller local guy than a chain, but a $40 cab ride is too much for a beer run.

    Any decent bottled locals available?

    Deff love supporting the smaller shops,but the fact remains that total wine has a huge beer selection.

    Hmmm...not sure,just be careful with the taxi guys there known for overcharging.

    Khourys has just as good of a selection as Total. Total has a lot of beers no one really gives a shit about....

    I beg to differ,but everyone is entitled to their opinion.I have never got a whale at Khoureys but I have plenty of times at total.Like I said before I deff support the smaller shops but the facts remain.

    Well it seems that Khoureys has a following on this thread ..which is cool.But I've found many of the top 250 at total in Vegas in the past year alone,so I would consider those whales..like Sucaba,FW 17th,Abyss,BCBS,BCBBW,BCBCS....just to name a few.Either only the usuals get a heads up on whales at Khoureys or they don't get many,....either way I've never seen one there aside the ones that have already been shared there.

    Hey Clarkson when you come out check total and Khoureys out,,,...we need an outside source on who has a better or more selection.

    Every one of those beers you mentioned was available at Khourys, and in the case of the Bourbon County beers Khoury's got more than Total.

    Yea, all of those beers were at Khourys...... And none of them are whales....

    I like to pick up my nicely aged IPA's at Total. The inventory at Khoury's moves to damn fast!
